Web 2.0 Recruiting- Again


Its always a pleasure to write back about web 2.0 or rather recruiting 2.0.  Everyone talk about it but whats the difference? When did recruiting 1.0 became 2.0 .. I didn't see upgrade version coming. These are the common questions thats always asked or you don't ask (not to sound foolish) but in your mind.

Many of you are becoming part of Recruiting 2.0 - some have embraced it fully and others are doing it slowly.

So when does your recruiting became 2.0?

    * The day you created a login account for linkedin or facebook or myspace to check out candidates
    * If you are from corporate - the day your co thought about employer branding and started looking to manage it
    * You started focusing a lot on online profiles & started calling yourself or added a researcher or sourcer
    * Your ATS became a lot web enabled & CRM started building with talent pipelines
        ---etc etc .. You get the point.

Facebook,Linkedin, MySpace combined gives you access to more than 250 Millions profiles. Add engines like Wink(my previous blog) or pipl or spoke adds up to millions more.
Yeah web 2.0 is here to grow.........& if you haven't started .. today is a good day.
