Jobvent.com -what people are saying about your company ?
Do you know what people are saying about your company (In my case "firm" ). Jim
Stroud had a good article about peekface.com sometime back . I ran across another similar site Jobvent.com yesterday. A lot of employees have been doing venting here.
From their website:-
"JobVent is the web site for anyone who has ever said 'I hate my job', or 'I love my job'. JobVent is the web site for people who are about to start a new job, and want to see what other people think of working there."
You can search about a specific company or search by location. A quick search on "New York" gives me reviews and comments for more than 100 companies.... not bad
Looks like companies would need to hire more lawyers or may be more reviewers to refute the comments or just may be treat their employees better.....till then keep venting.

I came across another similar site -Criticat (http://www.criticat.com) .Cool name eh? I found it better in the sense people can also suggest improvements to their employers and their UI is really cool with flash charts and ajax stuff.

This site is frickin' beautiful - love it. What will lawyers do? You can't sue for public opinion. This site is great for jobseekers wondering about a company as well.

I like JobVent, it is unique in the sense that it portrays the rants and raves that can occur in the workspace. Another valuable site is http://careerleak.com

That's a good idea. Anything to help curb incorrect busines dealings is a win in my book.

Jobvent should be illegal as most of the posts are done by competitors trying to destroy their competition. Jobvent does not screen the people that post ads and they are very poor at taking down websites that breach their own website rules. If any other employers want to start a class action lawsuit please let me know and I will initiate.

That's a great idea... now add some whistleblower / smokinggun elements and it will be a cult favorite on the internet!
